WASHINGTON D.C (WTVB) – Seventh District Republican Congressman Tim Walberg has joined fellow G.O.P. House members in denouncing Democrats who took part in this weeks sit-in on the House floor.
Democrats were trying to get Republican leadership to address gun violence in the wake of the massacre of 49 people in an Orlando nightclub.
Walberg said when he was interviewed on WTVB Friday that what is being proposed would be anti due process.
But Michigan Democratic Congressman Dan Kildee says it was past time to take a stand and they were fed up with Congressional leadership that will not allow a vote.
The battle may resume when Congress comes back from recess after the July 4th holiday.
