COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In summer league baseball, Coldwater’s Mickey Mantle White team lost both ends of a doubleheader Thursday night to Bronson by scores of 11-0 and 2-0. Coldwater was held to one hit in both games. Bronson scored two unearned runs in the nightcap. Coldwater pitcher Austin Robey struck out three in five innings of work.
The Mickey Mantle White team earlier this week swept a doubleheader from the P.C. Pirates in Battle Creek. Coldwater won the opener 7-1 as winning pitcher Alex Everett went the distance on a two hitter and struck out eight. Carter Hoard had two hits and three RBI’s while Austin Santure also had two hits. Lucas Santure was the winning pitcher in the nightcap. Porter Skidmore had two hits including a triple and Oliver Winter added an RBI single.
