CONSTANTINE, MI (WTVB) – A Constantine man was arrested Tuesday night after he allegedly threatened to kill himself and his wife.
Michigan State Police say they are investigating the alleged incident in the 62000 block of Lutz Road.
They were told a 60-year-old man was allegedly armed with a .22 caliber rifle. The wife called her daughter who in turn called 911 for her.
Troopers arrived to find things had calmed down. No one suffered any physical injuries.
They say the man had been drinking and was arrested for domestic violence and possession of a firearm while under the influence.
He was lodged at the St. Joseph County Jail. The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department also assisted at the scene.
