COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Southern Michigan Bank and Trust has now donated over $112,000 for the Coldwater tennis court renovation project in Heritage Park through the Branch County Community Foundation.
The bank provided an initial $50,000 gift to the project. Board member Tom Kolassa personally donated another $50,000, while another $12,500 has been donated by officers and board members.
The 40 year old courts were torn out in May and it’s hoped the new courts will be ready for the start of the Coldwater High School boys tennis season in August.
Local donations for the project has totaled nearly $900,000. Donations are still being accepted as costs have exceeded original estimates.
