COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The first draft of a new Master Plan for the City of Coldwater was reviewed on Tuesday night by the Coldwater Planning Commission.
Coldwater’s Master Plan has not been updated since 2002. Randy Mielnik from Poggemeyer Design Group of Monroe said future land use is one item that is being looked at.
Entrances and gateways to the community were also discussed as well as employment centers and the redevelopment of the Fairfield Plaza.
The Master Plan is still a work in progress. Tuesday’s presentation was mainly designed to gather input from Commission members after they had reviewed the policy document. The updating of the Master Plan started last November. It will guide land use, zoning ordinance changes and overall development goals for years to come.
