COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources, through its Land and Water Conservation Fund, has approved a grant of up to $100,000 to the City of Coldwater for the construction of a planned Splash Park at the site of the old Heritage Park Pool. City officials have already pledged $100,000 in matching funds toward the project. The grant agreement will be up for consideration at Monday’s regular meeting of the Coldwater City Council.
Also on the agenda for Council’s first meeting of the 2016-17 fiscal year: The introduction of an ordinance to amend the city’s Zoning Ordinance to increase the maximum height of buildings in the Central Business District from 45 ft. to 60 ft. It’s a proposal the City Planning Commission unanimously recommended the that the full Council consider during its Wednesday night meeting.
Council will also consider a letter of resignation submitted by Second Ward Councilperson Gretchen Ennis.
