COLON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Leonidas man was flown out early Sunday morning in St. Joseph County after his vehicle went out of control and struck a tree in Colon Township.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department says the accident happened just after 5:00 a.m. on Farrand Road near Colon Road.
25-year-old Isaac Eicher had to be extricated from the vehicle and flown to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo by AirCare.
Deputies say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident. They add Eicher was not wearing his seatbelt.
