COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council Monday night will be asked to approve a six year extension of the city’s fire agreement with Coldwater Township. The contract amount would increase by 2.75 percent each year.
The Township would pay the city over $134,000 this year. It would increase to over $154,000 in July of 2021.
The City Council will be asked Monday night to replace a tornado warning siren at Clay Street and Industrial which city officials say has a history of functioning poorly.
The new siren would cost $18,600 with the money coming out of the Public Safety budget.
