COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A stricter policy on cell phones was among the changes to the 2016-2017 Coldwater High School handbook that were approved on Monday night by the Coldwater Board of Education.
Principal Bill Milnes said after there have been some inappropriate use, students will now have to keep cell phones in their lockers during the school day. The only time they can use them would be during lunch.
The student athlete handbook was also approved. Students who take part in sports will pay a $50 pay to participate fee. It will be $75 if a student plays two sports at the same time.
During their annual organizational meeting, the board decided to keep meeting on the fourth Monday of the month except on November 21 and December 12, 2016.
Heather Harvey will serve as the Executive Secretary of the Board while Superintendent Terry Boguth will be the boards Executive Treasurer.
