COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriffs Department says they had to respond to a report of a sinking boat on Coldwater Lake Sunday afternoon.
They say a vessel near the Wildwood access which had taken part in the Hot Boat Expo the previous day near Corn Island had a small leak.
It was also taking in water due to the jet boat being so low.
The choppy waves caused the vessel to swamp as it was being removed from the lake.
A semi wrecker had to be used to pick the vessel up out of the water and place it on the trailer.
