FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – A die cast fire at a factory in Fremont, Indiana was quickly brought under control on Thursday morning.
The fire at General Aluminum on East Swager Drive was reported at 7:08 a.m. The Fremont Fire Department said on its Facebook page that heavy fire was showing when they arrived. A small fire on the roof also had to be taken of.
There was no damage to the structure and no injuries were reported.
Over 50 employees had to be evacuated. They were allowed back inside just over an hour after the fire was reported.
The Angola Fire Department provided mutual aid. Firefighters cleared the scene at 8:4 3a.m.
