FLOWERFIELD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Marcellus man was injured Thursday night in St. Joseph County when his motorcycle crashed.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department says 32-year-old Michael Eugene Lay was going around some curves on Floating Bridge Road near Pulver Road when he lost control of his motorcycle. He was thrown from the motorcycle and ended up in some weeds.
Deputies say Lay was not wearing his helmet and did not have a cycle endorsement. The motorcycle was registered to a resident of Freeport, Michigan. The plate was also expired.
Lay was flown to Bronson Hospital by West Michigan Air Care for his injuries. The crash is still under investigation by the St. Joseph County Sheriff Department.
