JACKSON, MI (WTVB) – It maybe the middle of summer but Consumers Energy is reminding customers of the Michigan Home Heating Credit that is available to qualified residents.
The filing deadline is September 30, 2016.
Eligibility and the amount of the credit is based on income and household size with a maximum income of $12,956 for a one person household.
The amount increases with additional household members.
You can get a home heating credit form at most public libraries, Secretary of State branch offices, by calling 800-477-5050 or by logging onto www.michigan.gov/taxes.
