COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater Lake home was destroyed in a fire Wednesday night.
The blaze at 625 Pebblestone Drive near the Coldwater Lake sandbar was reported at about 6:50 p.m. Branch County 911 got multiple calls about the fire. Smoke could be seen from as far away as Jonesville Road.
A video posted by Brian Weis on his Facebook page shows the home was fully engulfed in flames before firefighters arrived.
Lakeland Fire Chief Paul Searing says his crews were on the scene for about 3 ½ hours.
He says three nearby structures were damaged by the heat from the intense flames. That included a neighbor’s home which sustained damage to the siding and windows. Also damaged were a garage and a shed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. A dollar amount on the damage is not known.
Searing says no one was home when the fire broke out and no injuries were reported.
