JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A ten-year-old boy was injured Wednesday afternoon in Hillsdale County’s Jefferson Township when his bike was struck by a vehicle.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department says 24-year-old Kayla Lee Clark of Osseo was driving on Doty Road north of Hudson Road just before 4:00 p.m. when the youngster turned in front of her.
The Sheriff’s Department reports Clark was unable to avoid striking the boy who was taken to the Hillsdale Hospital by Hudson Ambulance.
The name of the youngster was not released. Deputies say he wasn’t wearing a helmet.
Pittsford Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
