COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved the extension of the city’s lease with the Branch District Library for five years through September 2021 on Monday night.
Mayor Tom Kramer says the city owns the building but the county library association operates the library.
The current lease expires in September 2016. City Manager Jeff Budd says he preferred a longer lease but the library wanted a shorter term to evaluate how a recently passed millage would impact its overall financial position.
