GIRARD, MI (WTVB) -A recount in the Girard Township Supervisors Race has been scheduled for next Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in the Girard Township Hall.
Girard Township Supervisor Gene Easterday won re-election by the slimmest of margins as he defeated challenger Philip AcMoody by just one vote, 198-197.
AcMoody asked for a recount on August 5.
The Branch County Board of Canvassers will oversee the recount which will start at 9:00 a.m. on August 24.
