CLEAR LAKE, IN (WTVB) – A motorcyclist from Camden was flown out Wednesday afternoon after crashing near Clear Lake.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says 44-year-old Timothy Roden was driving east on State Road 120 at an apparent high rate of speed at about 2:25pm when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road.
The motorcycle went off the north side of the road and slid before coming to a rest. Roden was flown from the scene to Parkview Regional Medical Center by Samaritan Helicopter for treatment of his injuries.
The Sheriff’s Department stated in a news release that alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash which is still under investigation.
They add Roden was wearing a helmet which reduced the severity of his injuries.
