GIRARD, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Clerk Terry Kubasiak says the recount in the Girard Township Supervisors Race has been rescheduled for September 7 in the Girard Township Hall.
It was originally scheduled to take place this Wednesday, August 24.
Girard Township Supervisor Gene Easterday defeated challenger Philip AcMoody by just one vote, 198-197 in the August 2, 2016 Republican Primary. AcMoody asked for a recount on August 5.
The Branch County Board of Canvassers will oversee the recount which will start at 1:30 p.m. on September 7.
