SALEM CENTER, IN (WTVB) – A Fort Wayne man was injured Monday night in a Steuben County motorcycle accident.
The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says 26-year-old Scott McGhee was driving south on State Road 327 near County Road 400 South just before 10:00 p.m. when he went off the road for an unknown reason.
McGhee went into a ditch before striking a Frontier Junction box. He was then thrown off the motorcycle and was found on the shoulder of the road.
The motorcycle then struck a nearby house.
McGhee was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
The Sheriff’s Department says McGhee was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash which is still under investigation.
