COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s back to class for two schools in Branch County Monday. St. Charles Borromeo in Coldwater and St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic schools both begin the 2016-2017 school year with a half day of classes.
Other districts around the county, as well as most across the state, with start back September 6, the day after Labor Day. A few districts in the state did apply for and received waivers to begin before Labor Day.
Branch Intermediate School District Superintendent Joe Lopez told his board last week that local districts in the area will also be applying for the waiver for the 2017-2018 school year.
