COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A revised site plan for a proposed apartment complex on the northeast side of Coldwater is scheduled to come before the Coldwater City Planning Commission on Tuesday night. The Sunset Meadows Apartments complex would be built at the corner of Carriage Circle and Anderson Drive just northeast of the Willowbrook Plaza and north of the Home Depot store.
Community Services Director and Assistant City Manager Keith Baker says the latest proposed project has 210 units in nine buildings on over 15 acres of land. The site has been approved three times for apartment complex projects over the last decade. The latest came in July 2015 when a 390 unit complex was proposed.
The site plan up for approval is smaller than previous proposals. The proposed project has nine buildings that would contain one and two bedroom apartments. There would also be a clubhouse with a leasing office, community room and a pool.
Approval by the Plan Commission would include several contingencies such as the complex would have to provide 386 parking stalls, stormwater management must meet city engineering specifications and landscaping must meet city requirements.
