COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Duct work and an oven were damaged by a fire Monday at Voltek on Allen Avenue. Coldwater firefighters were called at about 4:20 p.m.
Fire Chief Rich Sherman says they got a report of a fire in the duct work above one of the ovens in the northeast area of the facility. The fire had extended beyond the duct work on the second and third levels by the time firefighters arrived. The fire was quickly brought under control.
No damage estimate is available but moderate damage was reported to the duct work and the oven.
Firefighters were on the scene for about 90 minutes. No injuries were reported.
The fire is being blamed on an oven malfunction.
