GIRARD, MI (WTVB) – They say your vote counts and that was never more evident then on August 2 primary election in the Girard Township supervisor’s race.
Current Girard Township Supervisor Gene Easterday defeated challenger Philip AcMoody by just one vote, 198-197 in the Republican primary. AcMoody asked for a recount three days later.
After being delayed for two weeks, the recount will be held Wednesday afternoon in the Girard Township Hall. The Branch County Board of Canvassers will oversee the recount which will start at 1:30 p.m.
