MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – Branch County is one of six counties in the area that has a new four legged weapon to fight arsonists.
Bingo is a K-9 based with the Marshall Fire Department who has had his training as an arson dog paid for by State Farm Insurance.
Bingo was introduced Friday and the dog will be used to determine if liquid accelerants were used in a fire.
Besides Branch County, Bingo will be used by fire marshals in Calhoun, Kalamazoo, Barry, Eaton and Jackson Counties.
