COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners has formally approved the county seeking requests for proposals for repairs to the roof over the maximum security area of the Branch County Jail. The decision came at the board’s meeting Tuesday.
Commissioner Dale Swift said the roof repairs were recently determined by the Jail Evaluation Group committee to be the area that needed the most immediate attention.
The committee put together a five year timeline for jail repairs that would cost about $180,000. The committee also determined that repairs need to be made to parking areas. In addition, plumbing and ventilation issues need to be addressed.
