COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In high school football, after playing three of their first four games on the road, the Coldwater Cardinals will be back home tonight to host Jackson Northwest in an Interstate 8 contest at Cardinal Field.
The Cardinals are hoping to keep their conference championship hopes alive this evening. Harper Creek tops the league at 3-0 followed by Coldwater, Lumen Christi, Marshall and Parma Western all at 2-1. A Cardinal victory would also leave them just two wins shy of a post-season berth.

Reading (0-3, 0-4) at Quincy (#9-D6 3-0, 4-0)
The Victory Bell is on the line tonight as the Quincy Orioles host arch rival Reading. The Rangers have won the Bell nine out of the last 10 years. It has resided in Reading for the last year after the Rangers 16-14 win over the Orioles in 2015. Quincy is 3-0 in the Big 8 and 4-0 overall. The Orioles are ranked 9th in Division 6 in this weeks Michigan Associated Press High School Football poll. They are tied for first place in the Big 8 with Concord and Springport.
Jonesville (0-3, 0-4) at Union City (1-2, 2-2)
It’s Homecoming at Alumni Field as the Union City Chargers hosts Jonesville. The 2-2 Chargers are trying to bounce back after losses to Springport and Quincy.
Offense was the name of the game in the four Big 8 conference games last week. There were a total of 265 points scored in Week 4 with Homer and Springport both getting into the 50’s.
Bronson (0-4) at Centreville (1-3)
The Bronson Vikings try again for their first victory of the season tonight as they start BCS Red Division play at Centreville. The 1-3 Bulldogs have only scored 12 points in their first four games this season.
