STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – A Sturgis man was stabbed to death Sunday morning when police say an argument escalated into a fight in the 200 block of Jacob Street.
Another man was placed into custody after the stabbing victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Names have not been released by Sturgis Police. They also have not released the circumstances which led up to the fight that was reported at about 9:00 a.m.
After being treated at Sturgis Hospital for his injuries, the suspect was arrested and booked into the St. Joseph County Jail.
The St. Joseph County Major Crimes Task Force was brought in to do forensic follow-up work at the crime scene and conduct follow-up interviews.
