STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – A Sturgis man has been charged with open murder following a Sunday morning fatal stabbing at the suspects home in the 200 block of Jacob Street.
St. Joseph County Prosecutors have charged 37-year-old Jonathan Fleming in connection with the death of 39-year-old Christopher Calhoun.
Authorities say the stabbing took place following an altercation between the two men.
Circumstances leading up to the fight have still not been released but prosecutors say Calhoun was stabbed multiple times.
The Sturgis Police Department and St. Joseph County Major Crimes Task Force were involved in the investigation.
