COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Community Schools Superintendent Terry Boguth told the Board of Education Monday night that enrollment is up this year by about 141 students.
The increase in enrollment reverses a recent trend for the Coldwater school district. Boguth said they had seen declines in seven of the eight previous years.
She said there has been a significant increase in the Arab population as families try to escape the fighting in Yemen.
The official count day will be next Wednesday, October 5. The numbers will be certified in November.
