COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council Monday night approved the low bid from Thompson Construction of $24,515 for repairs to Randall Plaza parking lot. If everything goes according to plan, the work is expected to be completed by the end of October.
An ordinance was also introduced which amends the Franchise Agreement granted to Consumers Energy earlier this year. The primary change is to the legal description of the parcel at the corner of Jonesville Road and I-69 on which Consumers plans to build its new regional service center.
The Council also gave final approval to the sale of the corner parcel at 199 Orleans Blvd. to the owners of The Laurels of Coldwater for over $1,500. It received initial approval and was placed on table during the Council’s August 22nd meeting.
In an update on the proposed splash park at the site of the old Heritage Park pool, bids will now go out this coming spring, with construction planned to be completed next summer.
