COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Community Health Center of Branch County President and Chief Executive Officer Randy DeGroot told the hospital board Monday night that the change in retirement plans in moving forward.
This follows the approval by Branch County Commissioners of a recommendation from the CHC Board to freeze the existing defined benefit plan effective October 1, 2016 in favor of the MERS Defined Contribution Plan.
DeGroot also reported the replacement of the MRI has been rescheduled to begin December 26th due to the inability of the portable MRI vendor to meet the original schedule.
The monthly financial report indicated a net loss of over $25,000 compared to August of 2015. Patient admissions for August fell by 17.7 percent compared to the prior year. Cash on hand increased to 102 days in August.
In other business, the board approved a three year strategic plan as well as a revised organizational chart.
