COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The city of Coldwater is moving forward with getting rid of run down properties.
Coldwater Community Services Director and Assistant City Manager Keith Baker told the City Council and Mayor Tom Kramer Monday night they hope to have demolition bids on four properties by the end of the week and hopefully they will be presented to the Council at their next meeting.
Council members took a tour of two of the properties last month. The City Council approved the purchase of six tax foreclosed properties for just under $21,000 in June.
The State of Michigan foreclosed on six occupied parcels and seven vacant residential lots in the city for unpaid property taxes and made the properties available to the City before they go to public auction.
