PARMA, MI (WTVB) – In high school volleyball Wednesday, Coldwater stayed undefeated in the Interstate 8 Conference, with a 3-0 win at Parma Western 0 (25-16, 25-9, 25-12)
Jasmine Wellet led the team from the service line with 6 aces and added 6 kills, and 8 digs. Olivia Foley served four aces and led in assists with 11. Jamie Wellet also had 8 assists, 6 kills to tie with the most with her sister, and led in digs with 10. Malorie Rzepka had 4 kills and 2 aces, Izzy Foley and Drue Mullin each had 5 digs for the night as well.
Coldwater is now 3-0 in the Interstate 8 and 19-4-5 overall. They play a tri-match Thursday at Brooklyn Columbia Central.
Parma Western defeated Coldwater in the underclassman matches. The Cardinals lost the J.V. match 2-1 (21-25, 25-13, 15-12) and the freshman match 2-0 (25-21, 26-24).
The J.V. Cardinals record dropped to 26-3. Anna Tappenden had seven assists, six kills and six digs, Mya Tom had six digs, Carlee Crabtree had five kills and seven digs, Emilee Smoker had seven assists and six digs while Jordan Clemens had five kills and five digs.
Kelani Phillip had 12 digs for Coldwater freshmen as their record is now 15-10-6.

Coldwater’s JV golf team hosted Marshall and Battle Creek Lakeview in a scramble event at the Coldwater Golf Course and came away the winners with a score of 134. Lakeview was second with 145 and Marshall was third with 154.
Coldwater’s teams of Jena Beckhusen and Elloree Madden and Morgan Beckhusen, Avery Volkmer, and Sabrina VanAuker each shot rounds of 44 to lead everyone on the day. Coldwater’s Melissa Vozar and Ryleigh Collins came in second with a round of 46 and Abby Coffing and Emma Beckhusen came in third with a round of 47.
Coldwater’s JV team is scheduled to finish their season at a JV Jamboree at the Eastern Hills Golf Course in Kalamazoo Thursday.

7th grade football beat Quincy 53-6. Tds by Coe Szafranski, Riley Vanderpuyl, Cole Barker and Lukas Kelley.
8th Grade football beat Quincy 34-30. Deandre Douglas scored the go ahead touchdown with 6 seconds left.
Both teams are home next week to play Jackson Christian Middle School.
