ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – Indiana’s Bicentennial was celebrated on Sunday in Steuben County as a statewide Torch Relay reached the Land of 101 Lakes.
Ceremonies were held at the Trine State Recreation Area and at Pokagon State Park.
The torch was carried on land by 19 Steuben County torchbearers.
A replica of the torch made a trip around Lake James in a seaplane.
The Torch Relay is being held in conjunction with Indiana’s 200th birthday. It started on September 9 and will eventually visit all 92 Indiana Counties.
