COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Road Commission was recently recognized for having one of the lowest employee injury rates among road commissions in the state.
The award was presented by the County Road Commission Self Insurance Fund which is a Michigan based group that provides disability management, safety training and workers compensation to 73 road commissions in the state.
Fund Chairperson Joyce Randall pointed out that lower injury rates results in lower workers comp premiums and the savings can go to other needs such as maintaining Michigan roads.
