COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A travel trailer was destroyed but Coldwater firefighters managed to save a nearby house when a fire broke out at 564 State Road on Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters were called at about 1:30 p.m.
Coldwater Fire Chief Rich Sherman says the homeowner was burning some trash when the strong winds blew an ember onto the trailer and caught it on fire.
Coldwater Police and the Branch County Sheriff’s Department assisted with traffic control as a portion of State Road had to be shut down during the fire.
