ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A fire on Friday afternoon at a home in Angola caused about $40,000 worth of damage.
Officials with the Angola Fire Department say the fire in the 400 block of South Superior was accidental in nature.
The fire was reported at 4:10pm and police reported heavy smoke conditions on the second floor when they arrived.
All of the fire damage was contained to that floor while there was smoke and water damage to the rest of the second floor. Minimal damage was reported on the first floor.
It took firefighters from Angola and three other departments 35 minutes to get the flames under control. Crews remained on the scene until about 6:30pm.
No injuries were reported.
