COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man was ordered to pay $3,500 in restitution Monday in Branch County Circuit Court for wrecking a motorcycle he took without permission in June 2016.
29-year-old Kevin Lowe entered a no contest plea to a charge of unlawful use of a motor vehicle as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.
Judge Bill O’Grady told Lowe he was lucky to be in front of him, as the judge noticed the visible injuries on the defendant from the motorcycle accident.
Lowe, who told the judge he made a big mistake, was given an 11 month sentence in the Branch County Jail with 72 days credit for time already served.
He was also placed on probation for two years.
