COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Local police departments as well as the Branch County Sheriff’s Office will be holding a Prescription Drug Take Back Day this Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Branch County Sheriff John Pollack says a lot of drug problems start from old and expired prescriptions that are left in the medicine cabinet.
Drugs will be accepted at all Branch County Police stations and at the Branch County Sheriff’s Department.
The goal for the Drug Take Back Day was 375 pounds of unwanted drugs but Pollack says the Sheriff’s Office permanent drop off box has collected 410 pounds of drugs already this year.
You can drop off all pill forms including vitamins, but liquids, syringes and needles will not be accepted.
