QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy Village Council agreed Tuesday to put the property at 29 West Jefferson up for sale by public bids.
Village Manager Eric Zuzga said in his report to the council that a neighbor has expressed interest in purchasing the land and a local business person has discussed putting a house on the property.
There has also been talk of putting a park there. The village has already spent $8,500 to demolish a structure and clean the property.
The bids will be due by December 1, 2016.
The Village Council also approved the purchase of a new dump truck, a utility vehicle, and an ATV at a price of about $116,000. The three items will be used for sidewalk plowing and park maintenance.
