COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A 7-2 record was good enough to get the Coldwater Cardinals a home game in the opening round of the MHSAA Division 3 football playoffs next weekend.
The Cardinals also got a week 7 rematch with the Harper Creek Beavers at Cardinal Field at 7:00pm on Friday night. Coldwater defeated Harper Creek 19-7 as they handed the Beavers, who were ranked fifth in the state at the time, their first loss of the season.
The winner will get either Vicksburg (7-2) or Chelsea (9-0) for the district championship.
Quincy had to hope computer points would get them into the post-season after they finished 5-4. But their name was not called during the MHSAA Selection Show on Sunday so the Orioles season is over.
