COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In high school football, the five week trek to Ford Field in downtown Detroit starts tonight as the MHSAA football playoffs get underway.
The Coldwater Cardinals will host Harper Creek in a Division Three opening round matchup at Cardinal Field. Game time is 7:00 p.m. with live coverage on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Both teams are 7-2. Coldwater is hoping to get on another post season run like in 2015 when they got to the state semifinals. But they will have to beat a Harper team that was ranked as high as fifth in the state before losing 19-7 in the Cardinals homecoming game on October 7th.
The winner of tonight’s game will face either Vicksburg or Chelsea next week for the district title.
