ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A rural Angola man was arrested Thursday after the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department says items taken during an area burglary were found on his property.
Police say 31-year-old Jonathan Allen DePew was booked into the Steuben County Jail on three level 6 felony counts of auto theft/receiving stolen auto parts, illegal possession of a legend drug and maintaining a common nuisance.
Depew was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of possession of Marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was being held Friday on a $12,500 bond.
The Sheriff’s Department says they along with the Williams County Sheriff’s Department found several items reported stolen from a Williams County property in a detached garage on DePew’s property in York Township near the Indiana-Ohio border along with several items commonly associated with the use of Marijuana.
