ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – What was described by Indiana Conservation Officers as a serious injury snowmobile accident took place in Steuben County late Friday afternoon.
Conservation Officers say it happened at about 5:00pm in a field south of Pine Canyon Lake.
They report that when 21-year-old Reese Oberlin crested over a hill, a juvenile female operating another snowmobile with a juvenile female passenger, crested the same hill from the opposite direction.
The two snowmobiles collided nearly head on.
The snowmobiles were not riding together and were unaware of each other’s presence in the field.
All victims were taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. The extent of all injuries was not known. The investigation into the accident is continuing.
