COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It was a frigid start to the week. It may not officially be winter yet but it was the coldest morning of the season as the mercury dipped to eight degrees below zero at around 7:30 a.m. Monday at the Branch County Memorial Airport.
The winds were mostly still, so the wind chill only dropped to 12 degrees below zero instead of the 23 below that was in the forecast.
A wind chill advisory for Branch and St. Joseph Counties expired at noon Monday.
Temperatures will warm up Tuesday and the forecast heading into the Christmas holiday weekend calls for calmer conditions when compared to the snow and cold weather of last week.
