UNDATED (WTVB) – The power went out for over 3,900 Consumers Energy customers on Thursday.
The outage included over 1,400 customers in Branch County and another 2,200 in Calhoun County.
The power went out just after 11:00 a.m. Consumers Energy says it will be mid afternoon before some customers get their power back.
According to the Consumers Energy website, the outage affected just about all of Tekonsha, nearly two-thirds of Athens and about half of Burlington.
About 700 customers were out in the Coldwater area.
It was not immediately known why the power went out.
