UPDATE: The National Weather Service cancelled the advisory early at 9:03 a.m.
COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Snow and blowing snow, with accumalations of 1-2 inches prompted the National Weather Service late Thursday to extend its Winter Weather Advisory to cover Branch County until 10:00 a.m. Friday.
The original advisory issued by the NWS covered lakeshore counties and only extended as far east at St Joseph County. Branch County was added to the advisory area around 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
Slippery road conditions with some blowing and drifiting snow from 25-30 mph winds will face drivers Friday morning.
