COLDWATER (WTVB) – Cathern “Katie” Burnside, whose gift from her and her husband Harold allowed for the beginning of the Burnside Senior Center in Coldwater, passed away at the age of 95 on Tuesday at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
The Burnsides were married for 70 years before Harold Burnside died in 2014. Cathern Burnside worked at Federal Mogul for many years. She also volunteered for Branch County 4-H and for over 30 years with the Hospital Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday morning at the Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow at Card Cemetery in Bronson. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Dutcher Funeral Home. Memorial contributions maybe directed to the Burnside Senior Center, Branch County 4-H or the Bethel Gilead Community Church.
