ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – A man who is considered a suspect in the theft of a pick-up truck last week in southern Branch County was captured on Wednesday in Angola, Indiana.
Angola Police says they got information at about 1:30pm that 23-year-old Aaron Robert Loffer was at a residence in the city.
Angola Police and the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department checked the address and found Loffer inside.
He was arrested without incident and taken to the Steuben County Jail where he was being held on a $22,000 bond.
Steuben County prosecutors filed five counts of theft against Loffer on Wednesday afternoon after his capture.
Loffer was wanted on an active civil arrest warrant out of Steuben County as well as an active felony arrest warrant out of Allen County for failure to appear.
Michigan State Police were looking for him in connection with the theft of a pickup truck from a residence on Gilead Shores Drive. It was later found at the BP station on North Baker Road just south of the state line.
